Y101 is partnering with The Salvation Army once again this holiday season to bring joy to deserving children in the Central Valley. Along with the familiar Red Kettles, the Angel Tree program is one of The Salvation Army’s highest profile Christmas efforts, providing clothing and toys for children during the holidays.
During this uniquely challenging time of Covid-19, the Salvation Army will be changing some of our procedures to ensure the safety of our clients, employees, volunteers, and donors.
This year we have made the option of Christmas Tree Angels available online at www.fresnocitadel.salvationarmy.org, you will able to view the available Angels, with their name, age, gender, clothing sizes, and their wish/need, and choose an Angel to adopt.
If you shop online, you can have your gift shipped directly to The Salvation Army Christmas Warehouse at:
The Salvation Army Fresno Citadel
1854 Fulton Street
Fresno, CA 93721
We ask for Angels and toy donations to be returned no later than the week of November 30th thru December 4th. This way they will have time to prepare family bags prior to the distribution starting on Monday, December 14. Arrangements can be made to schedule a pick-up for group donations of toys.
The Salvation Army is accepting generic gifts for children ages 0-12, for those not wanting to adopt specific Angels.

The distribution of toys to families will be different this year due to Covid-19. In the past it has taken place at the Fresno Fairgrounds and is done in one day. This year, the Salvation Army will spread the distribution out over one week from Monday, December 14th thru Friday, December 18th. at the Fresno Citadel Corps. This will allow for social distancing by limiting the amount of people on-site per hour, and per day.
